What characterizes me?
Electrical, instrumentation and control engineering are also essential in plant engineering. They are regarded as a specialist discipline that people prefer to leave well alone, but which must function at all times. Control engineering in particular forms the interface between the plant and the operator; all information from all technical areas comes together here. I therefore see it as a primary task to provide the operator with the right data in an intuitive form so they can keep on top of their plant and fully be in charge of it at all times.
Even during the planning phase of a project, it often falls to the electrical engineer to convey information in an understandable manner between the engineers involved, the operator, the client and the companies performing the work.
