Helping to shape the future in the areas of transport, energy, settlement and the environment fascinates me because it involves people and their concrete living environments. I find it important to think outside the box and always expect surprises. Because "the more planned people are, the more effectively chance can strike them" (Friedrich Dürrenmatt).

For me, success is when people with different professional and personal perspectives are enthusiastic about a common cause and you can feel that a project is really "picking up speed". When unexpected things come to light, I bring my strength to bear in bringing complex issues to the point and thinking in a networked way.
