AiF PlaTo - Research project
Stuttgart, Germany
In collaboration with the University of Stuttgart, TBF is developing a planning tool for vapour condensate treatment as part of the ‘PlaTo’ research project. In the project, the vapours of various sewage sludge drying processes are intensively analysed with newly developed methods to determine their exact composition, which has not been adequately studied to date. This will enable TBF to offer its customers greater precision in the planning of future new construction projects that include sewage sludge drying. The calculations on which the simulation model is based enable a much more reliable estimation of the potential effects of the introduction of vapour condensate to a wastewater treatment plant, which can then be included in the planning process. Through its involvement in the research, TBF is able to further deepen its extensive knowledge concerning the interactions between sludge treatment and wastewater treatment. This is an ideal way for TBF to put its enthusiasm for self-improvement and its curiosity to the best possible use for its customers.
