The Oberes Surbtal wastewater treatment plant treats the wastewater of the municipalities of Ehrendingen, Niederweningen, Oberweningen, Schleinikon, Schneisingen and Schöfflisdorf. Currently seen as the last in a series of value preservation projects implemented by TBF, the mechanical treatment facility was renovated and adapted to operational requirements.

The project included all process stages from the lifting station to preliminary treatment. Another essential part of the project was the expansion of the screen building to make room for the installation of a second screen and to improve the disposal logistics for various residues.

TBF was responsible for general project management and cooperated with a local architecture firm to provide planning and construction management for all technical areas.
