The ’Sisslerfeld’ ist an economic development of cantonal importance, according to the cantonal structure plan. In combination with optimal use by high value-added, low-emission businesses and a high density of jobs, the aim is to promote the economic attractiveness, innovation, and competitiveness of the canton. The ’Sisslerfeld’ comprises areas in the municipalities of Eiken, Münchwilen, Sisseln, and Stein. The german municipality Bad Säckingen is also included in the planning across the border.

TBF + Partner AG has been leading the overall project management of area development since 2019. This includes supporting and managing specialist topics relating to area development, spatial planning, transport planning, communication, participation, and location promotion, as well as involving various cantonal, regional, and municipal political bodies.
