Refuse derived fuel CHP plant Spremberg
Spremberg, Germany
The process steam supply requirements of a paper factory are by no means trivial. For one thing, a high degree of supply security must be guaranteed. At the same time, the amount of process steam required by the paper machine can vary widely depending on the operating mode. A supply facility that meets all requirements from both a technical and economic standpoint was achieved with the substitute fuel CHP plant in Spremberg. In addition to the CHP plant, two auxiliary boilers on stand-by ensure an uninterrupted steam supply to the paper factory.
In this project, TBF handled not only the overall project management but also the technical planning for all trades (construction as well as process, electrical and building services engineering) and commissioned the building in 2012 after just over two years of construction.
The plant continues to operate with great success to date.
