Sewage sludge utilisation plant AEZ Asdonkshof
Kamp-Lintfort, Germany
LINEG (Linksniederrheinische Entwässerungs-Genossenschaft) is planning to construct a sewage sludge utilisation plant with a capacity for 100,000 tonnes of dewatered sewage sludge per year. The thermal energy released by the disposal process is to be used to generate electricity. The resulting phosphorous-rich sewage sludge ash will be stored temporarily and will be available for future phosphorous recovery purposes. The plant will be built on the site of the Asdonkshof waste disposal center run by the Kreis Weseler waste company, very close to the existing waste incineration plant. This will ensure that the sewage sludge incineration plant will utilise as many existing systems as possible from the areas of process engineering, electrical and control engineering and infrastructure.
TBF is tasked with all work phases, from basic evaluation to awarding the contract for a management contractor and subsequent support for supplier engineering and the construction and commissioning phases.
