With its Grüntal and Reidbach campuses in Wädenswil, Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) operates various training and laboratory facilities. In the Grüental laboratory building, the automated building management system for ventilation was checked and adapted for the individual lab rooms in terms of control capabilities. In the Reidbach building, the pipe networks (nitrogen, CO₂, compressed air, methane, osmosis) were surveyed and an analysis and air volume calculations were carried out for the ventilation systems. These assessment and planning measures formed the basis for an integrative utilisation of the buildings.
