The Glatt riverbed was lowered and canalised about 150 years ago. In the coming years, the river section between Opfikon and Rümlang will be restored to a more natural state in a project led by Flughafen Zürich AG. The project is carried out as an ecological replacement measure by Flughafen Zürich AG and extends over a length of 3,250 meters. New meanders, shallow and steep bank zones, riparian vegetation, two rest areas, new paths and reed meadows will be created. In addition, flood protection measures will be implemented. TBF + Partner AG provides management support to Flughafen Zürich AG for tendering processes, project management, communication and development in the construction phase, as well as the supervision of the overall construction process. In addition to these management tasks, the TBF team also supervises the interface between the client, cantonal authorities, third-party projects and the planning teams.
