As part of the extension project for the Landquart workshops, the rail power system is being comprehensively updated. This means that new contact line systems will be installed in the new underfloor turntable facility, Allegra Hall and Retica Hall. A swivelling overhead conductor rail (OCR) will be installed in the underfloor turntable facility, tracks 801 & 802, track 803 of the Allegra Hall and in both tracks 805 & 806 of the Retica Hall. A fixed overhead conductor rail will be installed for the cleaning track in Retica hall, which could subsequently be upgraded to a swivelling OCR. All tracks will be equipped with a new catenary control system so that maintenance work on the rolling stock can be carried out safely.
