The Schluefweg centre in Kloten (outdoor pool, indoor pool, conference centre) was built in 1976/77. Due to the age of the structure, the municipal facilities management department for Kloten has implemented numerous renovation measures in previous years. These include energy-saving measures, renovation of the outdoor pool and replacement of the high-voltage electrical systems.

In order to carry out building renovations and development in its entirety across all parts of the building and facilities, TBF was mandated to assess those structures and create a long-term (20-year) renovation and development strategy, including investment planning. This strategy was elaborated in close co-operation with the city of Kloten during various workshops and meetings, and now serves as a road map for Kloten with respect to technical and financial planning for future construction measures.
