Noise assessments will be commissioned by the Fachstelle Lärmschutz (FALS) [Noise Protection Department] and traffic assessments by the Amt für Verkehr (AFV) [Office for Traffic] as part of renovation and road construction projects in the municipalities. A final decision is then made based on consideration of various interests as well as political will.

TBF provides support to project managers at FALS and AFV in implementing the required assessments, standardising the processes and coordinating workflows between the various parties involved. TBF provides a foundation for the cooperation between departments and promotes mutual understanding while keeping a constant overview of all projects.
