A fast cycle route in the Limmat valley will establish a quick and attractive bike connection. A pilot project was approved by the Cantonal Council in 2016 as part of the bicycle network planning and developed by the Office of Transport of the canton of Zurich (since 2021 the Office of Mobility). In the context of the feasibility study, the route was divided up among various engineering companies.

Beyond the technical feasibility of the section between Schlieren and Dietikon, TBF was commissioned to design a concept for the involvement of various stakeholders in the Limmat valley (municipalities, industries, population, etc.), as well as to support the process as the project transfers from the Office of Transport to the Office of Civil Engineering, and to transition it to the preliminary project (phase 3).
